I'm looking to get into folding with FAH, wondering which team I should join.
I have an Athlon XP 1800+ as a personal machine, might bring my old K6-2 online if I ever get around to getting a new fan. Problem is, this machine gets games played on it, and it doesn't run 24/7. I might convince my dad to bring some of his video crunchers into it (hehe go SageTV!). I was crazy on Seti for a while, see bholvenstot@ameritech.net (lost the password at the moment)

I have a wierd request. I'd like to run something on my ARM PocketPC, to help give it a run and test battery life. It runs PocketPC Windows 2002, I think. Is there any group who has released a program for it?

Greetings. falconfighter :)

Are you shopping teams from different forums or looking here to join? If it's Anandtech, you'll want to put team number 198 in. Here's a link to help answer any questions you may have. I think you're breaking new ground trying to run FAH on pocketpc, I'm not sure how that will work. The only way is to try...

I'm sure some of the FAH gurus will be checking your post, perhaps they can offer some sage advice.

Nice machine :) Every cpu cycle helps even if its only an hour a day, Yeah I know, we are all hooked on stats :Q but they count, look at the team totals, most are from single computers all added together for the grand total :)

I am afraid I am of no help there. I haven't even hacked my cellphone yet and I bought it to do just that. I have all the paperwork and instructions, just too chicken to try I guess lol

I hope you join us and if you do Welcome aboard, if not please don't be a stranger. Drop by anytime and chat with us :)

falconfighter, welcome to the DC forum :)

And I hope the TeAm

If you decide to run F@H on your slower old computer I would recommend you configure that client to run deadlineless WUs. That way you don't have to worry about a WU not getting finished in time. If you need any help, just ask!
