Looking to get back into the gaming scene and play a new multiplayer game

The last one I played was BF1942. I want something a little like that and haven't really gamed for a good 2 years. Is there anyhting like BF1942 out right now that is heavy on multiplayer.. or something like that?

BF2 comes to mind. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is coming and it'll have a similar style to BF1942.

I tried BF2. Didn't really like it.

I think Call of Duty: United Offensive has a mode close to BF1942. You can try the Capture the Flag mod for Half-Life 2. And I don't like BF2 either

I still play Joint Ops. The game is pretty dead really, and it's still full of bugs that will never be addressed, and lots of cheaters, but I've had a lot of fun with it over the last two years.

I played for about 6 hours today
