Looking to get an English Bulldog...

I am looking to get an English Bulldog in the next year, and I am looking for breeders in the Pennsylvania area.

I have found alot online, but they all seem to sell champion bloodlines all for like $2000 each. I am not looking to get a showdog.

Where should I look to get a cheaper puppy (excluding places like commercial pet stores)?

Any comments on bulldogs as pets?

i'd suggest adopting a dog over buying one any day,

i'd like to start with a puppy if possible, but I will look into adopting.

What might be some other sources for puppies besides showdog breeders?

think craigslist would be good.

Google up bulldog rescue. You might find a good one real cheap.
