I am looking to get a TV tuner/Capture card to go with my GF4 MX 440 card. I was looking at the ATI-TV Wonder card but need to know how this card connects to my system. My last two video cards have built in video capturing and I hate having to ship around for a vivo version of a card I want so that is why I want to get a tuner card. I recall from the one time that I actually used a seperate tuner card that it used a cable that connected from the tuner card to the video feature connection on the video card. New video card do not have the feature connector anymore so my question basically is this: How do TV tuner/capture cards connect to recent video cards. Also, is the ATI-TV Wonder card good? I need to encode mpeg-2 and this card appears to be able to do this. Also, can this card do standard vcd mpeg as well. ATIs website doesnt go into much detail about this card. Thanks. Oh, one more question. Are there any issues with this card and the Gf4 MX 440 or Nvidia cards in general?

I agree that the Hauppauges are better, but there is a price consideration also. :)

I have a Hauppage WinTV-GO, which works quite nicely, although it lacks a lot of high-end features. I would recommend checking out Snapstream.com to anyone who has a tuner card installed in their system. Snapstream's software lets you record shows to your HD, schedule recordings remotely, and even stream shows over the internet. It makes the tuner card twice as usesfull (plus I can archive Simpson's on CDs!)
