The only other TV that is comparable to the Tau, is the Toshiba that RossMAN mentioned. If you could find it at a price that meets your budget, then go for it. However, for $260 you can't go wrong with a Tau.

Agreed, $260 is an incredible price for the nice Panasonic Tau.

To the best of my knowledge, that is the latest model in their 27" line of TVs. Also, Best Buy sells this TV for $520, Target.com $599.

I really don't think you can regret a purchase like that - especially when your saving so much $.

the panasonic tau is all setup in my living room. It was $247 after tax and my discount/raincheck

at first the colors were all off..and I was like Oh Shit!!

but then I realized I was still running my RF modulator to everything, and everyone knows RF connections suck ass...so I got some 24k gold svideo cables and it is SUPER SWEET!!!
