Hi There

Current Router: TL-WR1042ND
http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR...

I currently have this router setup in the top floor of a 3 story house, 4 pcs are connected all wired, everything is all good.

I am wanting to extend the wireless on the middle and bottom floors of my side as the wireless is quite poor, there are about 4 phones and 3 laptops which are connected to wireless at some point during most days.

My question has anyone had experience with either of these models:
TL-WA830RE
http://www.tp-link.com/lk/products/details/?model=TL-WA...
or
TL-WA901ND
http://www.tp-link.com/lk/products/details/?model=TL-WA...

Are either of these any good at extending the wireless, am I also able to run a Ethernet cable from my current router to the one of these to make wireless stronger?

Or is it just better to get a better router, something like the tp-link archer models ac750/1200/1750, bearing in my mind my speed is ADSL2 something like 10mpbs

Thanks for any help, very much appreciated!

You can use repeaters just fine, just know that they can sometimes be finicky with interoperation and they will cut your throughput in half right off the bat due to the way wireless works in a half-duplex mode.

if laying down some more cable isn't a problem, I'd go with another actual router and set it up as an access point.
