k, specs:
2400+, 512ddr400, 5200 ultra 128mb

I'll be waiting for either an x700 or 6600 line vid card, depending on when agp versions are released, and pricing.

Will the 2400+ get me through ok, or should i spring for an athlon 64?

Also- if i do decide to get a new processor, the frys here has been having crazy good deals. Would it be worth it to spend the $200+ for an a64 and motherboard, or should i go for one of the 3.2 p4s with generic mobo theyve been selling for $200?

thanks.

I'd caution you to wait until the game is released before you blow any money. No one really knows how this game will play yet. Whether or not this turns out to be a CPU intensive game, best to save money for now and bide your time.

However, the graphics card is definitely a sure bet as far as upgrading goes. Maybe make the jump to 1gig as well. Otherwise, I'd wait on the CPU/MB stuff. That is, if you want to wait. If you don't, then go for the A64. What MB is fry's selling with the A64?
