looking to buy ND filters

I currently own a Coklin P-series soft graduated filter, but I am finding that filter is causing sharpness issues. The filter itself is plastic not glass so I suspect that might be part of the reason. The filter was cheap and served its purpose, but I no longer want to put cheap filters over my expensive lenses.

So now I'm thinking I would like to buy at new set of ND filters. I would definitely want one big stopper, but I would also like to get two (soft and hard gradient) 3-stop grade filters. I like the idea of a rectangular slot system because of the composition control I can get, but I would prefer quality.

Does anyone have preferences in brand or anyone wish to share their experiences working with a particular brand? I'm looking at LEE or Tiffen, but B+W may also work. I'm just having a horrible time finding reviews. I understand some filters are not truly neutral and cause some off-colorization and some filters are easier to scratch than others.

Thanks in advance.

Hoya HD, B+W. Can also go with Lee/Cokin/etc. like you said. I think Cokin is supposed to be the cheaper one but it's serviceable.

I use Tiffen HT. ND, polarized and UV. No quality issues as yet.
