hi everyone. does anyone have any experience with the superg minipci wireless adapters that have the atheros chipset? I'm looking to install one on my laptop because I'm sick of carrying around a pcmcia card.

do these things work well? is there a particular card that works better? I'm looking for the atheros 108mbps chipset because that is what my router uses. do they allow your laptop to suspend (go to standby) without any problems?

finally, are there any such devices that also have built-in bluetooth? I've seen regular 54mbps ones that offer this, but I haven't found any of the 108 ones...

any experiences you care to share would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know about bluetooth, but any CCX certified card has to pass standby/hibernate tests. Many atheros based cards are certified.

bleh then how come my pcmcia atheros (d-link) card never lets my laptop go to sleep!

thanks for your reply. I'm thinking that there aren't any bluetooth/superg combos so I'm just gonna get whatever. thanks :)

superG is a gimmick (imho anyway)

Check the Cisco site to see if that specific module was certified, and with what specific driver rev.
