Looking to buy a tube tv for not too expensive..

Seeing as how the going rate for a tube 30" WS HDTV is ~$600, $400 is not a good price for that Samsung.

Sony Wega > Panasonic Tau > Samsung DynaFlat

...as far as picture quality. A lot of people believe that while the Sony looks better, its not better enough to justify the much higher expense of the Sony.

Id stay away from the RCA

value city has the refurb sanyo HT28745 28" HDTV for $299

great reviews on these bad boys. decked out with specs too - dual integrated tuner, etc...check avs forums for more info.

Incidentally, sanyos were among the most reliable brands on the market per Consumer Reports a year or two ago.

check out phillips outlet.
they usually have decent stuff at decent prices and they sometimes run promotional coupons that give an extra 10% off.

I think shipping is also usually free.

Can't find any of those here in Canada for that price jpeyton..Lowest I saw for an HD TV would be 800.00 and it's some crappy brand.

ended up getting a new 27" toshiba flat CRT. Saw it in store, very nice image quality and a nice waiting item for my future HDTV. 🙂

I drooled over the huge screens there, grr..
