Looking to buy a Taser/Stun Gun

2 seperate incidents of road rage this week alone where in 1 incident the car had 4 guys in it who followed me until a red light and got out of his car. Also because of where I work I need to carry one. Bosses and managers carry one and I am being promoted to manager where I will have to deal with these kinds of situations where one could be needed.

I don't want anything cheap! I know there are pen models and other "mini" models that range from as little as $30 to $75. My boss carries the taser x26c which costs $1000 and way out of my price range. The Taser M28 is less than half that price but far bigger and won't fit in my pocket. The Taser C2 is real nice and at $350 semi affordable however from what I can tell it is only capable of firing the projectiles where as the x26c ca shoot the projectiles or you can remove the cartridge and use it as a stun gun. I would like the latter features since it allows you more uses than the cartridge. The C2 also does not have rechargeable batteries it comes with a battery with up to 50 uses which you can repalce (for I think $25)

Anyone else know of quality options and not the cheapy toys out there that is a stun gun, possible supports the projectiles, can fit in your pocket, and is rechareable, all at a decent price?

You know you can make your own from a disposable camera, right?

Google it.

I asked a serious question, don't use it to further your post count.

You should be able to look at my post count and join date and tell I am not after post count.

I just didn't pay much attention to your OP.

Good luck finding a stun gun.

Main page, Benefits -> Safety
Brochure, page 2
You can also use the C2 as a contact stun device to repel someone - a powerful backup capability.

they all 4 have the same one the $1000 Taser X26C

and why would I get a gun I am not trying to kill anyone just stop them from causing myself or others harm. I have seen it in action and it is true that when you pull that trigger and that electrical arc connects and you hear that clicking sound people stop dead in their feet. It is illegal to shoot a gun up in the air to get peoples attention.
Also my work does not allow guns so lol that is a big reason.

Where do you work that you need a fricken stun gun?

Are you just a horrible driver? You're in california, it'll be hard to get a ccw, so I guess its out. Have you tried the mace/pepper spray alternatives?

it's sad but I work at a hookah bar...

I am not a horrible driver at all. Tuesday when the guy followed me he must have just had a bad day. I merged in front of him in his lane but I signaled and when I started merging he was 6 car lengths back. Speed limit is 40 there, I was going 55 so he must have been going 65-70 so he claimed I cut him off.

A pepper spray would work better outside of work but not at work with lots of people around. Also with pepper spray you HAVE to get them on the eyes/head and if they are on something or drunk it might not work at all and nearly all the people we need stun guns for are drunk or more.
With a stungun/taser they can be on anything they want and you can get them anywhere on the body

If you use a taser over 50 times you are gonna need more than a new battery...LOL

Blah, I've written long posts before about how pointless a stun gun is for civilian use, but I don't have the effort today.

You are aware after the taser stops the guy is 100% ready to go again right?

So if you are there you are just going to keep popping this guy while he lays on the ground? You don't think you'll get into some shit for that?

After the jolts end the person isn't incapacitated. You don't have 4 other cops standing waiting to subdue the guy after the tasing stops. What you going to do then?

we have 3 security guards at work every night that handle the afterwards ie. handcuffs etc

outside of work it can give you enough time to get away or make them think twice about coming after you again

thank you! I see that it says it can be a contact stun gun but I have no idea where the contacts are

also the 50 uses I don't actually expect to use it on 50 different people, like I said activating it usually scares people off but lord knows people will want to see it like my bosses, i'll def pull it and try it a few times when i first receieve it, etc lol
