mx1000 is suppose to be the best "laser" wireless mouse out there but i havent had a chance to use it

I have that mouse on one system. It's just your standard wireless optical mouse, but works well. Long battery life, no signal problems up to ~6-7 feet or so from the receiver

that mouse is on sale at Amazon for $15 - the Mx1000 is nice but for the price you can't beat the MS mouse

You should definitely try out the MX1000 before spending so much money on it. Go to a local Staples and just feel it before you buy it.

I thought it looked great, but once I actually tried it out I noticed that it's way too big and clunky, you need to have your entire hand covering it to get the feel.
