Looking to buy a new Video Card

My 9800 pro which i flashed to a 9800xt just died today. Got it in Decmber 04'' So im calling ati 2morrow to see if Warenty will cover it. Anyways. Im gonna get a new Video card but i wanted some personal Feedback on whats a really good 8x 256mb Video Card right now?? Budget right now is well around $275-$320 Max would be $350. Im not sure if i should stay with Ati or go back with Nvdia. Currnently i was looking at the 6800gts 256mb. And the Ati 850 xt 256mb. I havent seen much 6800gt but alot of the Ati which is 850xt , platinum Edition and others. So not sure which to get. Any input and advice would be greatly appricated!

X850XTPE goes for about 350 on Newgg. X800XL about 300. There's always the C3D x800GTO which you can hopefully flash to X800XT speeds, and it goes for 180.

I found the x850xtpe for 330 on zipzoomfly.com Wow that card looks awsome, Im in love. if i cant find a cheaper prc\ice then that im buying it 🙂
 
BTW, that's the top AGP card at the moment...

Also, Black Friday is right around the corner. Think you can wait 2 weeks?

Well, if the online retailer's any good it should have a sale. I think you could probably get it for around 250-300, if its on sale. Then again, I'm a wishful thinker.

What day is better for buying then?? Thanksgiving the 24th? or Friday the 25th? Cuz im sure the stores are gonna have sells on the 24th as well. But no gaming for 3 weeks... Dam thats hars. My back up is a Geforce 4 ti 4200 lol...
 
Do you think Zipzoomfly or Newegg will have any 6800GTs AGP on sale on Black Friday?

There seems to be a huge shortage on these.
