Looking to buy a new SSD

Hello. Recently I was planning to make the jump to a SSD. I'm looking to spend about $100-150 and basically put windows, games and any high use programs on the SSD for increased performance, leaving media and other large under used files on the regular drive. I went to order one from newegg but was noticing a lot of bad reviews on the OCZ drives. People were complaining that the drives they had received were not the drives that were reviewed and that performance was much worse.

So, if you were in my shoes, and you wanted to spend about $150 on an SSD right now, which one would it be? I'm looking for the highest performance and reliability. Thanks 🙂

If you look in the Sale/Trade forum here you can get an intel 80GB G2 for around the price you are looking to spend.

GREAT drive and very reliable - you can't go wrong.

I got the Crucial 60GB because of the tremendous SATA III performance. Writes might be kinda low but considering its used as a boot drive, the read speeds are far more important.

We keep mentioning SATA 3 but does OP have a SATA3 system because, if not, it really doesnt help at all.

Oh yeah duh....I forgot to ask about that...if you do not have sata 3 then get an Intel G2 120GB drive....or the 80GB one..
