Looking to buy a new motherboard.

I'm wanting to replace my K7s5a with a more updated board. I think I would like to spend around $70.00. I would like to go with an Asus, unless some one can change my mind with some good intel on other brands. Still a Noob, but want a board that I can grow with and not keep getting left in the dust. All your profound wisdom will be duly contemplated.

Thanks,

Pyro

A good full featured choice would be the Abit NF7-S 2.0 which is a bit over your price range @ $85 or so, or a nice, fast, no frills board would be the Shuttle AN35-Ultra for about $55.

Edit:

NF7-S @ Newegg - $85 shipped

AN35-Ultra @ Newegg - $54.99 shipped

If you can swing it, I would go with the NF7-S. You get full Soundstorm audio and S-ATA/RAID which will give you more options down the line. Also, both boards have the holes around the socket for a nice bolt down HSF.

🙂
