Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to the home audio business and I've become interested in setting up a nice system for a sub-$500 budget.

The screen I'm going to use is a 24" PC monitor that runs 1080p but I'm planning to upgrade that in the future.

I've come to ask, what do you guys recommend for a noobie?

Here's what I've been looking at so far

Onkyo S-5100

and

Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX576
 
Yeah, onkyo makes pretty decent sets. Check out the HTIB area of AVSforum to check out reviews of other sets too 🙂
