Looking to Buy 3D projector.

I was thinking about getting the nvidia 3d vision setup. I was thinking about my possible options, and i think a projector would be the best setup @ 1080p resolution. Any suggestions?

Would i be able to play games coming out soon...ie bioshock 2 at that resolution with 8800gt sli and q6600 @ stock...in 3d? i've heard the 3d setup is a system hog, just wondering where i stand. thanks

I'm pretty certain there are no 1080p 3d projectors (most will probably accept a 1080p input, but they'll downscale it to whatever their native res is, quite often 1024x768). Your best bet is 720p 3d projectors, which I think goes to the Optoma HD66 almost exclusively at the moment.

Also, 3d basically doubles the resource requirements, so 3d at 1080p on an 8800gt sli setup may be pusing it. 3d at 720p with 4xAA is much more reasonable however.

I had this great scheme planned up using two projectors and a custom DVI splitter to isolate pins 1,2,9,10,16,17,18 to projector 1, pins 4,5,12,13,20,21 to projector two, share pins 6,7,14,15 and a custom PBC to fake pins 23,24. But then i realized that each projector would still be running @ 60 creating a "teared 3d" look since each projector would always be rendering the opposite 50% at all time.
