This is what I have/want so far.

Shuttle SN25P
NEC 3504A
Sapphire Radeon X800 256mb PCI-e or ega 6600GT (both about same price, x800 requires a 30 dollar rebate)
1GB Corsair XMS PC3200
AMD 3000+ Venice

Not sure if I should go with the x800 or 6600gt and don't know if I should go with a raptor or just use an exisiting uide hd or to get a 7200.8 Sata hd. What HSF should I get if I plan on doing some mild ocing and prefer a quiet box?

You don?t need a HSF. The Shuttle is a Chassis, PSU, Mobo, and HSF in one. It can OC really well considering people have easily hit 2.6 GHz on them, including me. Even when OC?ed it is quiet. The Raptor should be fine, but in the end it?s your budget that determines what you get. As for X800 or 6600GT, i would say either would work. I don't know about the benchmark performance, but both are good cards.
