Looking into new receiver.

Looking for something to last me a while, and was wondering if the Pioneer VSX-1123-K is a good buy, or would you all recommend something else? $600 is pretty much a firm limit.

SC-1222-K is better, it's basically a rebadged SC-61. You can either get it from newegg or get Best Buy to price match.

If sound quality is a priority I would recommend a receiver with Audysey MultEQ automatic speaker calibration at a minimum. Denon and Onkyo come to mind.
Onkyo tend to run hot.
