I recently purchased a Canon Canoscan N650U. This is from the line of scanners which is powered from the USB connection, hence no AC adapter. The scanner works fine but I am noticing that my PC now takes significantly longer to power on with the scanner attached. Has anyone else noticed this? To make sure I unplugged the scanner and removed it as a device. The PC started up very quick as it had in the past. I then reconnected the scanner and the next time I re-booted it was very slow re-booting once again. It happens during the "Checking Drives" sequence of the boot process. I have the latest drivers from Canon, below are my system specs. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
