This is one of many peripherals that i haven't got a clue on. I don't know what features to look for and neither does my wife. All i know is i can't spend less more then $150 on it. It seams that can get a pretty decent tablet. Right now i'm looking at the selection on Newegg. I just wish i knew which brand was the better brand.

Any help would be great.

Edit: This will be used on a Laptop with Vista and may also be used on a desktop runing XP. So size isn't an issue and it may be that bigger is better.

I have narrowed the choises to these 2 tablets. Both seam to have the same specs and price. Minus the MIR which i hate dealling with. So its just a matter of which brand is better.

You will never go wrong with Wacom. I've been using them for over 6 years now. I'm almost ready for a new one. They are very good at keeping their drivers up to date. The new Lenovo W700 features a built in Wacom.

I have the older Graphires on both my Vista and XP machines. They're cool with either.

Thanks i will look into them. So does size matter?

Edit: Seams all of those come with a mouse and only 512 for pen pressure lvls. The others i'm looking at have 1024 pressure lvls. Sure the Waconn have 2540 lpi while the 2 i'm looking at only have 2000 lpi but then they are larger tablets. So i guess the question remains if size matters?

I have always used the 4x5 size with no problem. However, the 6x9 size does provide much more sensitivity and capability. That would be the Intuos pad as I recall. That drives up the cost - but - you get what you pasy for.
