Looking for your help in a tech poll

The poll is for a certain piece of my project on whether or not technology can be addicting. Answering the poll is great by itself, but any comments or experiences would be awesome as well. Examples of such could be along the lines of what happens at your job when the tech goes down or power goes out, etc. For any traveling business people as well...can you get your work done if your laptop/phone/pda dies? Thanks alot for the help! 🙂

I'm also adding one more poll...

No for both for me too. I don't rely too much w/ technology. But they come in handy especially for flashlights and a reliable radio during a crisis.

I hate blackouts.
I have some UPses ... so if the outage lasts less then 30 minutes, and if my cable connection is still up ... it's no big deal ... however, if it lasts longer then that ... I just pace around the house with anxiety until it comes back up.

I can not live without my electricity.

Battery backup FTW! Whole house still stays active (computers, monitors, modem, router...) for ~40 minutes. If the outage lasts longer than that, well, I havn't had that happen.

when we have a blackout, i usually go to sleep on the couch.

i might go back for the phone, depending on the purpose of the trip & how long i was going to be away.

Blackouts hoppen often aruond me, I'm only irratated if I was in the middle of a serious game. Yes, serious game.

Oh, and nay on going back for iPod, for they suck. Also, I have a CD players in my car. -_-

Only thing that ticks me off when power goes out is that I can't see anything or watch TV. But yeah, I'd just read a book or something.

And No I wouldn't go back for something unless I actually needed it on the trip, not if it was just somethign to do to pass the time.
