So, after using a bluetooth mouse/keyboard combo for 6 months, I want to bash my head into a wall. Doesn't work half the time in BIOS, drops signal randomly, etc. Rage ensues.

Anyone know of a good wireless gaming keyboard and mouse? Doesn't have to be part of a package. The only thing I'm picky about is that the mouse has at least two side buttons, preferably three with some buttons on top.

If anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be awesome.

Do you really need wireless? Especially on the keyboard?

I don't know of any wireless keyboards that are considered good for gaming, and there are only 3 options for the mouse...of which would be the Logitech G7, the Microsoft Sidewinder X8, and the Razer Mamba. Might want to avoid the G7 though as it only has one side button (and is also lacking a bit on the other features in general compared to the other two).

In general, I am against wireless. I find that there are not many good implementations, and the ones that are acceptable cost an arm and a leg. Sorry to be a pooper, but that's my 2 cents.

As far as your request, the Razer Mamba would be the best mouse in an absolute sense, while the G7 would be the better price/performance mouse. As far as keyboards go, I don't know. I game on a laptop, and it has a perfectly sufficient keyboard for my needs....so I haven't really experimented with them much.

im in the same boat, looking for a decent setup to game on.

ive used a couple cheap 2.4ghz wireless mice and both had what seemed to be around 30ms of lag.

you can do a little test here http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/8869/mouselaggn6.swf.

basically it sucked. i have an old ass logitech 27mhz one, and if wasnt so choppy it would be ok, bc there isnt any perceivable lag.

im looking at the g7, if i can get it for a decent price it should be fine. otherwise i guess the mamba is the bet.

as for a keyboard, its probably going to be a little harder to find a perfect one.

im leaning towards this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16823204016 because its compact and seems pretty well received.
