i have a PS2, PSX, and DC and would like to use them on my viewsonic monitor. is there any type of hardware i could buy to do this? i already have a switch box for the consoles that has s-video connections so the ability to change between consoles is taken care of. i just need the convertor now

3 choices:

1) video-in card
2) A monitor that supports S-Video
3) A S-video -> VGA converter

Quality is about the same for all 3, so just get whichever is the cheepest (video in card has some extra features as well though & #1 & #2 generally support tv tuning).

I use my dreamcast with my monitor. You can buy a vga adapter for the dreamcast to hook it directly to your monitor. Pretty sweet.

Actually #1 has the added benefit that you could play the console game in a window on your PC desktop.

The Interact Performance VGA adapter for the Dreamcast is an awesome accessory: you can hook up your DC to your monitor and TV at the same time and your PC and DC can also share the monitor at the same time, thanks to the built-in switching. Retail is $50, street around $30.
