Looking for vocal remover app for music files? Any suggestions?

I've run through several standalone apps as well as plug-ins for WMP and Winamp - and NONE of them actually remove vocals, although most do remove some other higher-pitched sounds....

Anyone know of an app or plug-in that actually CAN remove vocals? Thanks in advance

Not really possible.

Once all the tracks that compose a song have been mixed down to create the master, there's no going back. It'd be like trying to unscramble scrambled eggs. That's why those apps and plug-ins you've tried only try to remove or block the frequencies human voice fills, because that's the closest they can get.

The only way of really doing it is if you have access to pre-master tracks and mix them down without the vocals, but of course that's out of the question with comercial music.

Thanks, that makes total sense actually; since I was talking about commercial music, I'll stop wasting time looking...
