The P43/P45 chipset gave PCIe 2.0.

I thought it was a PCIe 2.0 chipset, not 1.1. =(

Even if my CPU is a bottleneck I have no upgrade path right now. No point in getting a faster s775 part now that Sandy Bridge is out, but no point in getting a SnB mobo until the sata issue is fixed...

Yeah, I totally agree, just ordered a 6950 2Gb to go with my E8400 as well. I was being sarcastic because it seems everywhere I turn, people are always saying "bottleneck, blah blah". Something will always be the bottleneck...

I'll be getting a SB when it gets fixed as well..maybe. Then again I may just go with a 30" so my games are less reliant on my CPU.
