Well, take a page from the 2014 Silverado/Sierra. It'll have a new engine/drivetrain and apparently a much better interior. Given the current Tahoe is fairly long in the tooth I'd wait for the revamped one to make an appearance before pulling the trigger.

you're only 13K shy of Range Rover sport territory.... (seems like Top gear likes the latest model year quite a bit.)

My parents have the Equinox. Its not nearly the same quality build as the Saturn is. Saturn really stepped up their game the last couple years of production.

?

The Equinox comes in differant levels of trim and options.
That and look at the Buick Enclave if you want higher end trim but not get a Caddy.

Also the Tahoe is bigger than the Vue and other like sized SUV's. So I would test drive even the current model to see if thats what you want. The current one is not bad but the update will get the newwer motor.

or snag one heavily discounted in about 2 months as they try and push them off the lots

Audi Q5 looks somewhat similar, and can be had right around $50K. May not be the most friendly for interior room though. It looks more like a Crossover than a full sized SUV to me.

Jeep Compass if you want a smaller SUV, Jeep Grand Cherokee if you want regular size? Well under the 50k buget to save some money id imagine.
