looking for ultimate 2-d scrolling

hey everyone ! i was just talking to a friend of mine and when i was over at his house we were checking out some emulators and his 2-d scrolling was amazing not even hiccuping at any time. he has the exact same comp as myself (p4 2ghz 256 ram) but he has a ati rage fury 128 whereas i have a geforce 3 ti200, but his card smokes on the emulator can someone recommend a card that would have that same 2-d performance but be a newer card? thanks for any replies!

Your Ti200 shouldn't be having problems though. Make sure your desktop resolutions and refresh rates are matched, then check to make sure you use the same filters (i.e. TV, Scanlines, Super SAI, etc.)

Give me the name of the emulator and I can give you the optimal settings for scrolling. You see, with emulators, the trick is settings, improper settings can really make them run bad.
