I've got a 2405FPW monitor and I'd like to flank it with 19" monitors. This means that they'll have to be 1600x1200. I'd like the display areas to be *exactly* the same height as that on the 24". I assume this means that I'll have to buy Dell, but I'm not sure.

Is anyone running something like this? What monitors are you using?

Edit: Holy crap!

Unfortunately there are no 19" LCDs widely available that are 1600x1200. You can get 20.1" ones like the HP LP2065. It would be closer than the 19" in dot pitch to the 24" too.

What exactly do you mean by "flank"? Triple monitor config with each 19" beside the 2405FPW?

Side by side. 24" in the middle and 19" (or whatever) on either side.

Unfortunately .27mm dot pitch monitors at 1600x1200 are only slightly less expensive than just getting another 24". 3x24" monitors would look weird.

First of all, thanks for that!

Secondly, yes we run something like that (at work) using silver/black Dells, and it's damn impressive!

Actually, I would have said the nicest setup I'd ever seen, until you kindly provided that link... :)

You'd want 20.1" non-widescreens to go with the 24". They'll match up vertically that way.
