Looking for tweak guides for Win2000.

Hi 🙂

I am running Windows 2000 as my only OS. Now I know on a default startup Win2000 has lots of stuff I probably don't want.

I just want it to run like a regular desktop OS (sort of like WinXP Home Edition will be). I don't want remote access, or servers of any kind. I don't want performance monitoring tools or anything silly like that.

I defaintely need a services tweak guide. But any other kind of tweak guides would be much appreciated to.

Edit: Also some general Windows NT5 knowledge articles would be cool to. I know Windows 4.x (9x/ME) like the back of my hand inside and out. But I don't know much about NT5 🙂 I feel like a newbie again.

Create a new account of type Power User and use that for every day use. That will cut down all the unecessary services.
