You play as a kid walking around a school at night. You have to take pictures of monsters and you onyl get so much film. I can't remember much else. It was so much fun, though .I played it at school in like 1998. I think it was a Mac game maybe.

Also one where you walk around the woods and try to find keys and clues or objects.

I was going to say Fatal Frame, but that was on console and not really a school. Sounds like good kiddie fun.

Actually I remember that game. It was or was also for the PC. I just don't remember the name of it.

I vaguely remember playing that. If it's what I'm thinking of it would've been out earlier than 1998 though, more like 1990. I only had a 286 back then for the longest time so it would've been a DOS game. I totally don't know what the name is though.

A kid walking around a Museum at night trying to capture ancient spirits? Shivers 1 and 2.

Dont think its what you are looking for but kind of similar.

Sounds like you're a fellow childhood "Super Solver". Does the name Morty Maxwell ring a bell? :)

I haven't thought about "Midnight Rescue" in over 15 years, but I'd bet it's what you want. Another one I played as a kid was Super Solvers "Treasure Mathstorm". Both are dosbox compatible and easily available as abandonware at Abandonia (but since I don't know the legality of such I won't link it).

Midnight Rescue had you looking for clues that would help you uncover the secret identity of Morty Maxwell before he painted the school with invisibility ink at Midnight. You took pictures of his robots to help figure out which one was him in disguise.

Thanks for the good memories of monochrome gaming on my dad's 4MHz 8088 (and later his 40MHz 386 in COLOR, Woohoo!).

Hope that helps!

Video

In another 15 to 20 years people will look back on Cysis and think it looks just about as old. I can't wait to see video games when they really start getting the graphics looking lifelike (ie. like movie CG). Too bad I am so old, I hope I get to see it. people in there 20's will see cool stuff for sure.
