I'm thinking of building a PC more professionally :)
And I figured, I need to study on how to build a PC to the perfection.

For example,
how to get maximum efficiency on the fans and airflows..
Or.. what is the most optimum hardware combination to run a Win XP
(including CPU architecture and MHz)
How to make a PC to be as silent as brand names (like Dell).
How to avoid hardware conflicts..and make it as stable, reliable and durable as possible. and so on
(all in one site)

So.. I gues I'm looking for website articles or a book with some intermediate level technicality on the issues. I own the scot miller's upgrading and repaing pc book, but it doesn't say "too much" about the issues I mentioned above.

Can somebody plz help me out?

PS>> Does any manufacturer post very-detailed paper on how their machines are built on their website?

In my experience, one of the most valuable resources is someone who has experience. And AnandTech is a great place to pick one's brain...

For one's information though, the PC Stats network is in the process of ranking the top computer related sites by collecting user input: http://www.pcstats.com/links.cfm
