I plan on building a P4 system based on the Canterwood platform when they come out. Since this is my first Intel system, I was wondering what the best HSF cooling solutions are and what kind of PSU to get. I am looking at Thermaltake right now for both since the Spark 7 looks pretty good and their 420watt PSUs have Active PFC. I also want to get a couple case fans and round cables. I noticed cooler master has some good coolers also (at least for AMD, I currenclty use the HHC-001), and EMI shielding cables...do those really make a difference??? Oh, I don't plan on OCing for some time and just want a really powerfull cooling system to keep my system cool inthe summers.

Intel retail heatsink is consider to be good.
Since you will not do overclocking, stock heatsink fan should provide sufficient cooling.
If you want *best*, then try thermalright stuff, IHC-H71(loud)

I have just done some more research and found that the Sparks 7 is my best choice along with the Thermaltake Case Fan II and Antec True 480 PSU.

If $ no object, then top P4 cooling now is probably Thermalright SLK-900 w/ 92 Tornado fan (loud) or for quieter solution (still powerful) new Zalman cu7000. For PSU most people will tell you PC Power & Cooling PSUs have the tightest specs and can be ordered w/ adj. pots (look @ the specs on the 510w model!) or, although I don't believe it has adjustable pots, I use an Enermax 651p-VE (FMA) PSU that is a rock.
BTW... nothing wrong with the Antec supplies either, look at newer ones w/ adjustable external pots mounted in a front bay!

IMO, of course:)

Here is what I planning on getting next month.....or later this month.

Antec 835II Case
Antec True 480 Blue w/blue led fan
3 Thermaltake Case Fan II w/coolmod
Thermaltake P4 Spark 7

I plan on putting the 350watt PSU in one of my old comps that only has a 250watt. I was just at overclockers cafe and the spark looked pretty good, so I think my future P4 will be happy.

I just ordered a Zalman CNPS7000-CU heatsink & a Zalman ZM400A-APF power supply. The reviews for the CNPS7000-CU have been good and if their new 400w psu is anything like the 300w version I have now it should be really nice as well.
