Hey guys. I was just checking out some of the free e-file sites on the web. I'm looking for one site that will allow me to file both federal and state for free, in one simple, easy-to-use site.

Can you provide me with some linkies and your own personal favorites to use? Thanks a million.

This one isn't entirely free, doesn't look like. The software is free to download, but costs $7.95 each to file federal and state. Not a bad price compared to what H&R is charging, but there are lots of free ones out there.

There's a list on www.irs.gov, but I want the easiest to use for both of my filings.

Here's what I want in a site:

- FREE filing, both state and federal with one go-through.
- Ability to direct deposit.
- Simple, easy to use interface. I want to by-pass all the legal mumbo-jumbo, and be told only what I need to know.

Thanks for any other sites you guys may recommend. I need to pick one within the next couple of days!!

Heh, I'll file your taxes for you for free if you want to bypass any legal mumbo-jumbo - just don't expect a refund! ;)
