Looking for suggestions on how to mount this ATX PSU

A couple of my arcade boards I got require an ATX PSU and I'm looking for some kind of bracket or something to mount the PSU sideways as shown in the pictures below. I'm going to be mounting them sideways on wood so it will just have to be something that screws into the wood. On the backside of the PSU there are some grooves so I didn't know if those are for some type of mount/bracket to just slide them into. Or I was looking at some kind of bracket that like goes up and over the PSU and I can screw down on each side.

Any suggestions?

Pipe hanger strap

Does it stay conformed after you bend it? I guess if I did it properly actually it wouldn't even have any space to move huh.

Thanks that definitely could work. Now to find like a 5ft spool lol.

They are pliable, just make sure it is taught when you screw it in. Bolts with washers is better.

You can also use these, just need to find the right size, 24" is probably big enough.

You could also use aluminum angle, and screw it into the case. That would give a more professional appearance.

Beat me to it, I was going to suggest the same thing. I've used that stuff 1000 different ways to attach things to other things. Everyone should have a roll in their toolbox.

No one is going to see it... Also making extra holes into a power supply is a no no.

Holes don't hurt anything unless you drill through some electronics. I didn't think that had to be specified.

You are going to disassemble a psu, take out the innards, drill holes, just so you can mount it with angle iron? Pipe hanger strap is good enough.

Yea, I might do that. Depends on how lazy I was feeling. Might be able to do it drilless too. If the angles are front and back, you have half the holes already done. Depending on what the rear looks like, a self tapping screw could just go through some screening.

Yeah that hanger stuff is perfect. It will be mounted on a board that I can take in and out of my cabinet easily but no one will see it unless it’s out but I don’t care at all. I got boards sitting around anyways.

Just ordered this since it's mad cheap and will be more than enough for mounting 2 of these.

Thanks for the suggestion @sdifox that is exactly the type of thing I was looking for!

They are great for ghetto engineering xd

Not me. Ex....or maybe waggy.

😨😨

Or maybe any of a couple of dozen others around here. But the same goes for everyone. Just because you can restrain your basement hookers with hanger strap does not mean that you should. If you can afford hookers you can afford decent manacles for them.

This, just put something rubbery or better something silicon between the strap and the power supply so it doesn't rattle.

First, the term "hooker" implies payment. Otherwise they're sex slaves and some people have a hang-up about that sort of thing. Second, even if you don't pay them you still have to feed them and maybe toss them a can of Nair once in a while.

Nair? Damned good idea.
