Hi, my current notebook is a Sony SZ640
13.3"
T7500 2.2Ghz
2GB ram
Nvivida 8400m
1.98kg

my current interest is a 14" or bigger notebook.
The weight can't be any heavier than 2.2kg
Processor(CPU) and video card faster

I will not consider anything smaller than a 13.3" otherwise the Sony Z56 is the best spec for now.

Anyone has any suggestions?

by the way, is upgrading from 2GB to 4GB(max support.) ram any help?
Will run Win XP but may try Win7 in the future.

2.2 kg is pushing it for a 14" laptop. Anything bigger than 14" will definitely weigh more than 2.2kg. The Dell Latitude E6400 is 14" and weighs roughly 2 kg with a 6 cell battery. A Latitude E4300 with 6 cell is around 1.8 kg but the only graphics option is the Intel 4500HD.

Where are you located? Is price a concern?

I'd probably go for the Latitude E6400 if I were you. You can get one with 3GHz C2D now, plus a Nvidia Quadro and 1440x900 resolution in a 14".
