Looking for somebody with Ajax/JS knowledge.

I've been looking around where to post this, and I've figured after coming here for a bunch of years, I'd post here too.

I've got a project lined out for which I would need somebody with some Ajax knowledge to work with me.
The position is not paid (yet), but quite possibly the project might be pitched for some financing if we put something together.

I need somebody who can work with a searchable database of entries, and returning them on the main page after request.
I know this is pretty vague, but I will be able to explain a lot more if anybody contact me.

Anyway, drop me an email v01and04 at gmail com

This is something that does not require full time commitment, but could possibly develop in a decent popular product.

Oh and if anybody knows any other places where I could look for people, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks in advance.

No replies? No surprise. Not paid... AJAX is kind of a hotspot right now, so you're not likely to get that kind of work with no guaranteed pay 🙂

You may want to expose more details so that any potential volunteers might get interested. What is the product? What technologies will be used? What's the business model? What is the plan for fund raising? Everything is too vague. Could, might, possibly. Without inital interest, most people may not go that extra step to find out more information. Working for a person you've never met who could live hundreds or thousands of miles away on an unpaid project.... hmm. Try for local people.

You might want to try local colleges or something. Students usually have time and are willing to learn or make use of their growing skills. Of course the chances are slim you'll get a professional, but you can at least get a rough prototype up and maybe a chance to get funding. Hopefully by then you WILL keep the people who have helped you along the way and reward them by compensating them.

What technology are you using up for this? ASP.Net and the Atlas toolkit could do this for you without having to write any javascript.
