Looking for some quiet, cheap, high airflow 120mm fans

Gentle Typhoons aren't exactly expensive, compared to say, a Noctua, but may be worth the slightly higher cost, compared to lesser fans.
I've recently bought a bunch of beQuiet fans (SilentWings and an 80mm DarkWings) and can't complain about their noise (yet).

I got a few Cougar fans and 2 GT's that I wouldn't mind selling ya 🙂

Depends on what you mean by "cheap" lol.

You cannot do this.

You are only allowed to sell in the FS/T forum

The 1850rpm Gentle Typhoons are not quiet. At all. They seem to push a decent amount of air though and have a somewhat tolerable "hum" sound.
I bought three after reading numerous suggestions for them on this and other forums and have been VERY disappointed with how far from silent they really are.
My old tri-cool Antec fans that came with my P180b were much quieter on "low" setting. If noise isn't a big issue, then I'd be willing to suggest them.

2000 RPM isn't going to be quiet, I hope you have a way to downvolt them if you're looking for quiet.

1450rpm and below GentleTyphoons are though.

Not sure why you were recommended to get the 1800rpm version...
I have yet to see a 1800+rpm fan that is quiet from ANY manufacturer.

Exactly! Noise and airflow follows fan RPM. There are some variances because blade design can affect noise profile a bit, but you can't get rid of the basic facts. Bearing noise can also be a factor at lower RPMs.

The reason they are so highly recommended is not because they are silent, but because the level of noise for how much air movement and static pressure is awesome. Checkout martin's tests on the AP-15, wins across the board, even beating most 140mm fans in CFM/db ratios.

Nexus 120s are always a safe bet. They've been SPCR's reference fan for years for a good reason, and they sell for $10 each. Very good static pressure and low noise. I'm using a total of 5 of them (including the ones on my D14) in my R3 at 7v to cool a 4.6GHz 2500K system, and I can barely hear my computer running IBT.
