Well I am pretty much ready to call my current build DONE. However, I bought my current rig with the idea that i really was going to get it running and not need to upgrade for about 3-4 years. And that included a dual video card setup. (Yes I really am ok letting things go without the eye candy near the end of that time frame.) My current 4850 is more than able to run the games I am playing, but once again, I want to be done with tinkering around.

So, is this a smart purchase for me right now? I play on a 22' acer @ 16x10, and I have a second monitor 19' view sonic for background programs and so forth, @ 14x9. So is now the right time to buy a 2nd 4850? Or should I wait, and get a much better price 6 months to a year down the road?

Once again, I am looking for opnions and insight.

2 x 4850's would def be perfect for 16x10. you'd probably be able to play any game at max settings. crysis isn't fun and a poorly coded game (discussed before)

4850 would be the sweet spot for 16x10

Sure, you'd get a sizable difference in performance by adding another 4850 and nothing (that we know) is coming in the next 6months in the 4850's price bracket will change that- go for it.
