Looking for some MP3's...

...no, no, settle down.. I'm looking for some mp3's or ra files of historical events. Anything from WWII to kennedy speeches, to presidential debates. Looking for big news items like the MLK assassination, announcement of the attack on pearl harbor, etc... If you have any, or could point me in the right direction, it'd be appreciated.

I am not sure... If you have video tapes of them you could record from those. You may be able to go to the library and find them on audio tape too.

Just use an encyclopedia on cd-rom, copy the .wav's and convert.

Any book on tap/cd that you get from the library, and MOST news events/articles can be found in voice format, usually for the blind.

Check it out, the library is where it's all at...

I think i'll visit tomorrow if they're open...i knew i kept that card in my wallet all those years for some reason...thanks ;)

Ah yes, that is what that card is for. Depends on your library too, some have it 'em, but most should be able to order 'em.

the encarta series and encyclopedia stuff are more helpful i think, easier to find at least. if they have the wav files you can just convert those, or you may need to play your own, either way i'd ask a friend for an encarta cd before trudging through the huge city library
