Looking for some inspirational songs

I am looking for some inspirational songs that are helpful to cheer somebody up and give courage when emotionally/mentally down.
Any ideas appreciated.
thanks

Linus and Lucy - Vince Guaraldi (or covered by George Winston).

That song ALWAYS gets me in a good mood! 🙂

Yeah, check out the version by Built to Spill. Built to Spill kicks ass.

If you mean religious inspirational songs, I would say try Peace Train, Moonshadow, and Wild World - Cat Stevens.

Eyes of the World - Grateful Dead is also very cheerful

Eyes Of The World

Right outside this lazy summer home
you ain't got time to call your soul a critic no.
Right outside the lazy gate of winter's summer home,
wond'rin' where the nut-thatch winters,
wings a mile long just carried the bird away.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin' brings,
But the heart has it's seasons, it's evenin's and songs of it's own.

There comes a redeemer, and he slowly too fades away,
And there follows his wagon behind him that's loaded with clay.
And the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom, and decay,
and night comes so quiet, it's close on the heels of the day.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin' brings,
But the heart has it's seasons, it's evenin's and songs of it's own.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own,
And sometimes we visit your country and live in your home,
sometimes we ride on your horses, sometimes we walk alone,
sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
the heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin' brings,
But the heart has it's seasons, it's evenin's and songs of it's own.

If You Wanna Be Happy
Jimmy Soul

If you wanna be happy
For the rest of your life,
Never make a pretty woman your wife,
So from my personal point of view,
Get an ugly girl to marry you.

A pretty woman makes her husband look small
And very often causes his downfall.
As soon as he marries her
Then she starts to do
The things that will break his heart.
But if you make an ugly woman your wife,
You'll be happy for the rest of your life,
An ugly woman cooks her meals on time,
She'll always give you peace of mind.

Don't let your friends say
You have no taste,
Go ahead and marry anyway,
Though her face is ugly,
Her eyes don't match,
Take it from me she's a better catch.

Say man.
Hey baby.
Saw your wife the other day.
Yeah?
Yeah, she's ugly.
Yeah, she's ugly but she sure can cook.
Yeah?. Okay.

Of course, the song by which all other cheerful/inspirational song is judged is probably
Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now

Let me know if that one isn't what you need.

Ben Folds Five is pretty good at cheering me up - so is Weezer, but then again, a cardboard box cheers me up, so caveat emptor . . .. 😀

Weezer! Hell yeah! but check out the blue albulm. The other two aren't very good, imo.
