So I just got word that I am able to get a hard drive camcorder for Christmas from my dad if I am able to go ahead and pick it out by the end of the week.
I am trying to do some research, but this area is not really my specialty, and I am worried that in the rush I am going to choose the wrong one.
I want it to mainly make family videos, film sporting events, etc. While I am not a YouTube freak or anything, I will probably use it to share videos from time to time as well. Nothing too crazy or professional. At the same time, I would like to get a fairly high-quality one b/c it is not on my dime and my dad is offering to do this. This kind of thing doesn't happen often, so I would like to take advantage of it.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated, and the price would be best under $700
