Considering replacing these with something else. Don't want to spend a fortune, and besides, while light weight may be good, I don't need anthing super-strong. I don't plan on taking this thing to the track, after all. Just looking for a good bang-for-buck wheel. I will probably stay with 16s, too - going up to 17s seems to jack the price of tires up considerably.
To that end, I've been poking around on Tirerack.com for a while, and seen a few things that I like. Does anyone have any experience with TR's Sport Edition wheels? I've seen 3 in particular that I like, but these seem to be TR's "house brand", so I am a little wary of them. The three I have in mind are the D5, E1, and the F2. Possibly the F7, as well.
The only other 16s that I see and like are genuine forged racing rims, and the price more than triples to $300/wheel: the Motegi Traklites and/or SSR Type-C's
If I *do* go up to 17s, I've got a few more choices:
ASA-JH8s in either silver or black
Kazera KZ-As, also in either silver or black
MSW Type 14s: Designed by engineers @ OZ wheels, but made in China. I've heard real OZ rims are good, but this one may be a tossup.
There's also the Kosei K1-TS, then after that you're back into the $250 to $300+ range: Enkei Racing RP03, Gram Lights, SSR, and WedsSport.
Opinions? Suggestions?
