Looking for some country music

Okay, after playing way too much GTA:SA today and watching Smokey And The Bandit, I kinda wanna listen to country music. But not sh1tty country music, good stuff. Like the theme song to SATB (Eastbound and Down by Jerry Reed). Any suggestions ATOT?

I didn't come looking for smartass remarks, I can supply plenty of those myself. I also don't need critiquing on my taste, as I honestly don't give a fvck what you think. Just looking for some good guitar/banjo songs.

Johnny Cash
Gary Allan - Smoke Rings in the Dark

- "alt country" -
Cowboy Junkies (older is best)
KD Lang - Absolute Torch and Twang

Thanks for the recommendations. Willie Nelson is an obvious choice as is Johnny Cash, but I only know Waylon Jennings cuz of the SATB theme and I have no idea who Merle is.

Merle Haggard.

:music: they sound tired but they don't sound Haggard, they got money but they don't have Cash :music:
<-- a catchy indictment of modern Country radio

A guitar magazine I read called Guitar One has been swinging from the nutsack of Brad Paisley recently. He's on the cover of the current issue.

That is sad.🙁 Very few of his songs are good.......people seem to be on the Kenny Chesney bandwagon too.........

Give me Garth's "worn out tape of Chris Ledoux" over either of them.

Edit::shocked: Holy sh!t.....this account works.

thanks mods....

I like a few country songs:
Amarillo by Morning by George Strait
Whiskey Lullabye by Brad Paisley
However, Johnny Cash is your best bet.
