Looking for some advice on external HDs...

So here's my situation:

I have a Pro Tools setup at my house, and also use several others at the university I work for. It's a pain to have to re-plug every time I port my external HDs to and from the two locations. I also want to cut down on cable clutter at home.

What I'm looking for is an external case with the PSU built in, but that also can be slipped into a rackmount chassis. Optimal configuration would go like this:

1) At work, the drives function as normal external HDs: plug in IEC power, plug in firewire, done.
2) At home, simply slip the drive into a chassis, which would provide the power and firewire connections.

I thought Glyph would have what I wanted, but their GT Key drives can't be used without the chassis. Suggestions?

soupmoose, I appreciate your attitude.
Here's a :cookie: for your response.
I know that's not what you're lookin' for, but it's the best I can do.
