Hello all,

Basically a friend of mine is in the business of redoing kitchens specifically and would like a program that could help him out.

Major things he's looking for are things like getting a 3D view of the kitchen, a wide enough range of designs/items to work with and the ability to edit the templates, for instance taking a cupboard door with a square design on it and adding in an arc to the top, something like that.

He said he used AutoCAD before but it's too time consuming and complex to translate into what he's looking for, just trying to find something that's more intuitive. Trying to keep costs below $200-250us or so, but all recommendations will be considered, if we can find something that can do all the things costing more im sure he'll still consider it!

thanks!

There are two programs that I know of that are exclusively for kitchen design. One is used at Home Depot, called 20-20 Kitchen Design (or something close to that) and the other is from a company called SmartDraw.

If I remember right, you can pick the cd up from the store (in the paint section) for $5.

Is there something similar for bathrooms?
