Looking for soltek sl-75drv5 owners.

I just ordered this board and was wondering if anybody that has it or the v4 can give me any feedback before I go and set his up.

Thanks

hey,
Got the DRV5 a week ago. It has been a very painless motherboard to use, fast and friendly.
I like this one. Had an EPox (8K3A)that was giving me headaches, even without overclocking. I was having AGP gremlins, it would spontaniously reboot, and the temps were always reading very high (56c to 59c constant) Appearantly the temp problem is going around on some of the ver 1.0 motherboards, with no solution as of yet.
I was starting to think I was doing something major wrong with the epox, but I haven't had any probs with the Soltek. Plus this one is registering a more normal 38c idle, 44 full. Can't say how accurate it is, but...

I just got the drv5 and I like it a lot. The snazzy purple board impresses my friends. So far it has been stable and a good performer. I have not messed with the redstorm OC thing too much. It crashed the first time I let it do its thing...

Otherwise I like it a lot. The performace has been really nice for me. It would have been nice to get it with jumperless tweaking. My 1800+ is more than enough for me right now so it is a nonissue.

Theoretically, I love the board. One of the fastest tested (motherboards.org, tomshardware.com, etc.), looks great, love the ABS, # of fan headers and the thermal sensors. I don't care if it doesn't have RAID, USB 2.0 or Firewire. For $95 it can't be beat.

Support is very good. Any email to them gets answered within 2 days. Never had one go unanswered or longer than that.

Once it's stable, I'll tweak the 1900+ a bit but I'm really gonna OC the Radeon 8500 128. Tweakmonster ramsinks and a Thermaltake Blue Orb are the next goodies for the video card. Put in lots of fans. Got a blowhole cut in the top of the case with a ThermalTake SmartFan. Case temps are 22-25 C.

The problem is that I can't get XP installed. After setup loads the drivers, I get 0E, 0D or 50 BSOD errors. The memory's good so I don't know if it's the video, mobo, cpu or hd. Any ideas?

Nice board, I have the Drv4 and it's a fast slick looking board. It's laid out nice cept for the ide connectors are close to the agp, but it works great.

OH no! I decided to plug in some headphones for the first time and I am appalled at the extremely poor sound quality. It seems that as soon as it posts I get crackling and hissing. It is magnified when I move the mouse once XP boots. I have that VIA AC'97 audio chip with the newest drivers. Ideas?
