Looking for software

Hi, I've searched through the forums and am unable to find what I'm looking for, so if it's been posted please let me know where. Basically, what I'm looking for is a program that can determine which reg keys are affected by the executable.

What I'd like to be able to do is click on an executable file and have the software I'm looking for tell me which registry keys are associated with the executable program I click on. Likewise, I'd also like the software to be able to scan the registry and let me know, via some type of report, which reg keys are just sitting out there with no .EXE file associated with them. There have been several times when I have uninstalled software from Add/Remove Programs and it didn't remove all the registry entries. I've already tried the following apps and they don't give me the information I'm looking for:
Paraben's Registry Analyzer
Registrar Registry Manager
Registry Analyst 1.2

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried Dependency Walker but it doesn't identify registry keys.

I have yet to see a program that does what you just described above. Most of the programs I've seen are called Registry Cleaners which basically ran or execute all entries in the Registry and make sure none are dead ends. It then identify all these entries and presented as errors. If all you worried about is cleaning broken entries or dead ended entries in the registry, you do not have to find out each entry in the registry if they connect with your existing software. Instead, just trust it to the Reg Cleaner. Make sure you always make a snap shot back up of the registry (which most programs do) before cleaning. I use Eusing Registry Cleaner and it's basically a no brainer. You might want to google it and try it for yourself.

For being able to get rid of all traces of software that you're just trying out, rather than apps that you've had installed for a while, take a look at Total Uninstall
http://www.martau.com/

Theoretically you could also use it to reinstall into the same location pre-existing software, and it should do exactly what you're looking for, listing regsitry keys, etc.

Thank you for the response. The problem I have with most registry cleaners is they don't always tell you where the registry keys are located for the application I need info on. But thanks for the info.
