[Looking for Software] Video Splitter

Tried to look at the freeware programs and applications thread and couldn't find such software in there.

I'm looking for a program that is able to split a mpeg or avi into chunks.

Must each chunk be playable independent of the other chunks? (i.e. do you want something other than just a spanned zip file?)

If so, use Mencoder (there is a win32 binary somewhere). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEncoder#Split_a_large_video_into_small_videos

Yea... I need it to split into independent playable chunks.
