looking for software for HP scanner

on my HP scanner, every time i hit the scan button, a window pops up to scan. i preview, and then i click to scan and save. afterward, it would close down. to scan another page, i would have to repeat the process all over again.
isnt there a better solution? to just have the window stay open. all i have to do is click scan and save. no need to preview.

HP scanjet 4600 is no longer supported. i barely got it to work in win7 64bit with HP's vista 64bit drivers.
im hoping theres some generic scanning software out there, preferably free 🙂

Use the TWAIN driver and scan using ACQUIRE in Irfanview.

thanks for the advice. i just tried Irfanview.
even in batch scanning, that scan window would automatically close after scanning. im back to Irfanview to view the scanned page. to scan another page, i would have to acquire again.

That is not necessarily so. There is an option to continue. But - try Vue-Scan.
